Reflection - Case study ( Week 2 )

This week I did my case study based on all the contextual research I did , my case studies were generally about the short films I thought would help me make my own , they were of quite professional standard , my case studies were easy to evaluate because I broke it down into different components such as editing , camera work , movement , mise en scene. I ended up doing tow case studies one was about a short film called Drawn out and the other was about audience research , the reason I did these particular case studies is because I thought it would help me know how to create my own project with a little inspiration from the case study , I just general based my case studies off of my contextual research and from there I knew exactly what I was writing about . The reason I wrote a case study about audiences is because I wanted to know which audience I was targeting for my short film , the outcome was that majority of short film were targeted at a niche audience sue to the fact not a lot of mainstream audiences watch short films they usually watch normal film , so this was defiantly I needed to look into more , because I was generally struggling on what target audience my short film was going to be aimed at . In terms of my why I had picked doing a case study about the short film Drawn out is because its personally one of my favourite short film , and if I was able to draw inspiration from that particular short film , it would defiantly would  help my short film because what they have used in there short film in terms of media techniques they had a lot I wanted to evaluate .
