Research - Audience My target audience is going to be a niche audience but I wouldn't say its mainstream because not just everybody watches short films ,it more actual films they watch , it's a very small percentage that watch short films , for example filmmakers if we was talking demographics I would definitely say young people for example 16 - 24 that's quite a highly aimed target audience because its more inactive target audience I would say . I would say both genders are targeted but majority males because my short film is about a young male caught in the gang lifestyle . What I have researched I would say Male c1/2 , would be more responsive to this type of short film . Primary research - Food fight ( film ) , which is a niche product , this was quite a independent film there was about 65 million dollars to make and it made 70,000 dollars at the box office . The film turned out to be one of the worst movies ever made. The reason I picked a niche is...

https://www.powerpoetry.org/poems/paradise-ruins This link provides the poem that I want to be referencing in my short film at the beginning to help me tell a story and piece together the beginning of my short film This is the poem . Paradise in the Ruins Mon, 03/04/2019 - 13:30 -- FaviolaM Kids on the street, suffering from pain. The only thing to ease their mind is to join a gang. No more playing tag or hide-and-seek, only inside, playing games on T.V. Not a lot of smiles of happiness, just sadness and loneliness. The streets sad and icey, as cars come and don't act so nicely. The sound of screeching tires, along with the sound of gunfire. The horrible sadness that comes with the loss of a friend, but all things bad can come to an end. Altars set along a tree, to set that little soul free, bringing together our community. The mom holding on so tight, but knows she has to let her baby fly. Goes home with the picture held in her hands, along with her family hand ...

What encourages Gang violence / knife crime ? - Gang violence and knife crime are caused by young people’s social background factors in association with individual risk factors which result from poverty, deprivation and associated social problems , gang violence is defiantly a social actions some people are forced into the gang lifestyle or some are just born into it , its an on going problem around the world , because of how much people want to be apart of something so negative , something that could lead you to kill other people . They are trying to identify whether gang violence is caused by social background . My short film is also based on stereotypes , people say and I quote "its a never ending fear for a black to be stopped and searched " just because of the colour of their skin . black people are at a higher rate than white people for being stopped , or pulled over its not even routine. Gangs are quite common in east London . ...

I am making a short film about a single guy who starts off as a normal person but then as he grows older he meets people and he is easily influenced by the " gang lifestyle " and away from his "church lifestyle " which drives him to make a serious decision which could impact his life forever . A study has found that gangs are moving away from “postcode” rivalries to expand into more business orientated groups focusing on dealing in Class A drugs such as cocaine. The largest religious groupings are Christians ( 48.4 per cent ) , this is the religion I have chosen for my actor to do . The research I have gathered is about the rise in knife crime in England , according to ...

In general I believe my presentation went quite well due to the fact that I spoke about my concept which happened to be gang violence and in this case I addressed the storyline , I even spoke about how it relates to the theme , I chose fellowship because my short film is going to be about friends and family , fellowship can also link to gang violence betrayal etc. I believe I put together a well rounded presentation , I even added what I skills and experiences I have gained while doing this course , it has opened a lot of doors for me in the media industry . I spoke about what inspired me to do this particular short film , who is actually my favourite artist , his name is Rapman he tells a lot of stories through rapping but in a poetic way I guess and that's how I was trying to portray it in this presentation . . Feedback from Amy ( teacher ) "She believed it was a fantastic presentation , and that she loved the concept of my idea " Classmat...
